About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Logistics Site Manager to oversee and coordinate all logistics and material handling activities for a large-scale Solar Farm project, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Substation components. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials, equipment, and personnel on-site while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics plans to support construction activities.
- Coordinate the delivery, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment.
- Manage on-site logistics teams, ensuring adherence to project schedules and safety regulations.
- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and subcontractors to ensure timely deliveries.
- Oversee inventory control, ensuring materials are available as required.
- Monitor site traffic management and implement efficient site access plans.
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures.
- Report regularly on logistics performance, identifying risks and proposing mitigations.
- Support site management teams with planning and coordination activities.
- Proven experience in logistics and site management within the renewable energy, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations in solar farms, BESS, or substations.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate effectively between teams.
- Knowledge of Australian workplace health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics planning software and MS Office Suite.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Project Management is highly desirable.
- Experience working on large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Familiarity with transport and site management regulations in Victoria.
