- Oversee grid connection processes, ensuring AEMO and NSP compliance.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders on grid connection designs.
- Conduct network analysis and support generator registration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage grid connection processes for projects (R0 and R1 stages).
- Analyse transmission network data to assess connection locations for early-stage developments.
- Ensure compliance with AEMO and Network Service Provider (NSP) requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and support grid connection efforts.
- Maintain communication with external stakeholders such as AEMO, NSPs, and technical consultants.
- Lead meetings on generator performance standards and connection applications.
- Oversee generator registration and monitor rule changes.
- Provide technical guidance on grid connection designs and support the operations team with technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- At least 2 years of experience in grid connection within the energy sector.
- Experience with the AEMO connection process and NEM grid connections.
- Knowledge of generator and power systems modeling (PSSE, PSCAD, or PowerFactory preferred).
- Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and relevant regulations.
- Effective communication and technical report writing skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and handle technical challenges.
